The greatest of humanity’s riches does not consist in money or possessions but in loving and united hearts, the strong supporting the weak while the weak call forth the true humanity of the strong as they help them discover their hearts and their compassion.

Dear Jax and Lloyd,

Your blog is an inspiration and an incredible witness of living, breathing, grieving, joyful, strong and deep Christian faith in action.

Reading through your thoughts and struggles makes me think of the first few lines in Richard Foster's book, Celebration of Discipline:

"Superficiality is the curse of our age. The doctrine of instant satisfaction is a primary spiritual problem. The desperate need today is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people. The classical Disciplines of the spiritual life call us beyond surface living into the depths. They invite us to explore the inner caverns of the spiritual realm. They urge us to be the answer to a hollow world."

Thank you for being the type of people that the world needs - and for helping to give answers to a hollow world!

Lots of love,

Karl and Sal
